I give a vote for Gary Numan's Cars with the alternate opening scene. The alternate opening scene reminds me of the opening from Rain Man a little, but with Gary Numan, it would be a little more surreal.

Thanks for the input. I have put this story aside for a while, but have a little inspiration to try from another angle. I'm thinking of keeping much of the opening scene though.
